  1. I have not used them yet with my son because they are for his birthday, but I have great expectations for them.

  2. I think that some of the projects in this book are interesting. practical and engaging, but very few. Had I previewed it before buying I would have opted to take it out of the library for those few experiments, instead of adding it to my home libray.

  3. I bought this for my 7 year old grandson whom I pick up at school 1 x a week. His assignments include reading a chapter from a book. He does read on a 4th grade reading level. This is perfect

  4. My son got this for his sixth birthday – and we love it! The experiments are easy to do, and most of them use items you already have around the house, or can buy cheaply. We’ve made it even more educational by having him keep a science journal, where he draws pictures of what happens, and tries to write a few sentences to describe it. Even my three year old likes to get involved, and while he doesn’t always get the science behind each activity, he’s entertained by the results. Our favorite activity so far: Balloon rockets!
